byron and mark are like brothers. they are not related but when mark was young and his parents shot each other mark had no where to go. thats when byrons family stepped in and let mark live with them. Eversince they have been best friends.

In chapter nine M&M runns away to a hippie house. while spending his time there he decides to take a powerful drug called LSD. This drug is Powerful and affects the mind. This moves Byron because he realizes that his friend may never be the same again.

Byron ran out of cigerettes one night and decides to grab the extra box under marks bed. When Byron reaches under he descovers pill bottles. Knowing Mark all his life, he knows that he wouldnt take them but he would sell them for money. Byron realizes that these pills are the same ones that destroyed M&M. Fealing anger Byron makes a rash decision to call the authorities. In the result of Byron's action,Mark is taken to jail until his trial. Mark and Byron's freindship is never the same.

Byron and Mark's Relationship is never the same. Byron also discovers that he has no feelings for Cathy anymore. Byron's attitude changes because he relizes that life is not about fights or revenge its about moving foward.

How does Bryon feel at the end of the book?

At the end of the book, Byron has completly Moved on from Cathy. Also he has a change of attitude and goes back to work at the food store.Byron goes and meets Mark in jail. Mark does not want anything to do with Byron and never forgives him. M&M is still improving and is currently off drugs. Byron has a complete Change of attitude towards life.

What do you think about this book and what life message does it teach?

In My personal Opion i thoght the book was inspiring and very moving. I feel this book teaches the leason to move forward and stop living as a child. Life can be hard sometimes,But you need to move on and be an adult. Also this book teaches that violence is not the anwser,,,ever!! Althouh i had to re-read some parts because i felt the book was confusing i really did enjoy it.
